In Trieste, you can smell the coffee in the air. From the 1700s, its port welcomed the first ships from the Ottoman Empire loaded with coffee. Twenty years later, thanks to Porto Franco (Port of Free Trade), the city became the most important port of Austria-Hungary and one of the most important ports for unloading coffee beans. In these years, the first shops where it was possible to taste and buy freshly roasted coffee were opened. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, master roasters from Trieste invented something extraordinary - a coffee blend. The story of coffee is so fascinating that it caught the attention of Dionis Bazzara, who in 1966 decided to take over the roaster "La Brasiliana-Industria Triestina del Caffè".
