In Trieste, coffee is in the air. Since 1700, its port welcomed the first ships loaded with coffee from the Ottoman Empire. Twenty years later, thanks to the Porto Franco (Free Trade Port), the city became the most important port of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and one of the most important ports for unloading coffee beans. In those years, the first shops were opened where it was possible to taste and buy freshly roasted coffee. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, the master roasters of Trieste invented something extraordinary - a coffee blend. The story of coffee is so fascinating that it caught the attention of Dionisio Bazzara, who decided to take over the roasting plant "La Brasiliana-Industria Triestina del Caffè" in 1966.
